Lookin at the above couplet from the famous LIESURE by William Henry Davis., I found myself in this state since long. And y me, many more also.. Life is running so fast,  We just dont get enough time to enjoy the beauty around us,even if its a smile on someones face.


I would urge to  all people out there to spend quality time with their loved ones as Life is too short n fast too, Out of out busy schedules we can spare some time for our family, Friends and love life. It would b more than enough coz GOD created humans to enjoy the beauty created by him.. and we all say that we dont even have time for that also then we are trying to live every other persons expectations half heartedly.

The hyped show Roadies and its ill effects on society!!

Fiona Vaz After being a teacher for two years and a viewer of the show Roadies on MTV (for several years, yes I am embarrassed), I have a few things to say. Every time I watch the show – right from the time of auditions to the final episode – I ask myself...: What are the children watching? The episode I am watching right now (doesn’t matter which one, almost all of them are the same) has had me whip out my laptop and write this because I am so concerned about our kids. The show has 3 main characters (excuse my primary school English vocabulary- I don’t know what they are called outside the Balbharati!); Raghu, his twin brother and the host of the show, Rannvijay. There are a bunch of participants all vying to become the “Roadie”. The crux of the programme is adventure, I think. How a group of adventure loving people come together, become friends (some do share warm friendships), compete and win. But something on the way has gone very wrong. In every episode participants have to perform on a supposed ‘adventurous’ task or bear some outrageous consequence for non-performance. They might engage in dirty politics, form friendships only for as long as they serve a purpose, harbour mistrust, grudge, and jealousy, use expletives and sometimes even physically lash out at a person. Intermittently, a disclaimer runs across- they might as well be on the safer side. When thousands of youth from all over the country apply to be a part of the show I wonder what has brought these kids here. Are we okay with these youth (those who are above 18 years of age while there are plenty more who nurture dreams of being on the show or watch it passively) learning things that we actively want to stay away from or might even scorn at? When a participant does not have a criterion to vote someone out, Rannvijay (the host remember?) helps out by suggesting that someone whose style or make up is not good can be asked to leave. Should I then teach my 9 year old Sumila, that tomorrow she stands no chance because she is not “attractive”? Or should I teach the 49 other kids in my class that it is okay to shun Sumila on a very shallow pretext? The Roadies are always scared of Raghu and his twin brother whenever they appear (out of the blue!)- and why not? The way he screams his skull out, I freeze too. So maybe I should teach my little Bikram that it is completely acceptable when his dad screams and beats him up. When my kids bully each other, hit, kick, punch, or use abusive language (they absolutely do not) should I say that that is the only way they can look tough? Or when Dharmik knows how to solve his Math problem maybe I should tell him to hide his book from Omesh or better still- encourage him to teach Omesh the wrong way to solve it because malice is going to get him really far. Or should I teach them that they should help their classmates only if they are willing to share their lunch in return, just like how the Roadies ask for a bike instead of a vote. Or maybe I should tell them, that as soon as they pass their grade twelve exams after they have learnt how to read, write, and change the world with love, that they should fill up an application form and stand out in the sun for about 8 hours only to be humiliated by three people who believe that they have conquered the world. Would the three ever realize that the ones who they are humiliating, in the guise of making them tough (oh what social service!) are the ones because of whom the show is running? Now maybe some of you might tell me that my ideas are out-dated- I watched MTV when I was 15 and today the world is different- it is tougher and more competitive and not a big happy family where we help each other grow and nourish our souls with them. Or maybe you will tell me that the show works for youth who want to become models or celebrities overnight- and therefore maybe, I should return to class and tell Gaurav that there is no need to become the Prime Minister of India, anymore, he can now choose to be a star at the cost of his self esteem. I know there are many things wrong in this world- Roadies is just one show and just a show at that- there are so many others equally bad or worse. I am no media guru. I don’t understand TRPs, film content, trends, society or money. What I do understand, and understand really well is that children learn, anything- that’s an occupational hazard- I believe that every child is capable of learning. Like I said, I am no media analyst, I am a teacher. And a very worried one at that. I believe that this world can be better for our children and I try to change it. Anything that humiliates, cripples, and induces fear and doubt needs to be changed.

The title is a bit tricky it just says that M F Husain has lived on both the sides of coin..First side- called the Picasso of India and has been honored by so many awards like
Padma Shri (1955)
Padma Bhushan (1973)
Padma Vibhushan (1991).
Second side- above all plus the controversies.

I m not here to clear the controversies but just ask on which stand r u ??

Did we reject him, or did he shun us?
On the day of his death from lung complications at London's Bromption hospital, there's much anger — no doubt short-fused — and guilt, about how we failed one of India's greatest artists. There was hectic lobbying to bring his body back so that it could be buried in his homeland.

Instead, Husain will likely rest in London. It was his wish to be buried in whichever country he died.

Befitting for a man who never slept in the same bed for more than few nights in a row.

Or may be, just may be, there was something more. Home is what represents the essence of us. Mumbai, that he called home for most of his life, no longer stands for the essence of Husain.

In 2004 when certain Muslim organizations objected to a Qawwali, Noor-ul-ana, that Husain had written for his film Meenaxi:A Tale of Three Cities, calling it blasphemous, Husain refused to cut the song from the film, or censor the "offending" lines. Without demur, he just pulled out the film from theatres.

A week before this when the movie released he had stood at the entrance of Gaity-Galaxy, deep in the entrails of Bandra, elegant in his black achkan, welcoming regular filmgoers with folded hands, as if he was at some wine and cheese art opening.

This was Mumbai. He stood there among the milling uncles and aunties, the blackwallahs, the auto drivers, and the bored teenagers smiling the expectant artist's smile. He was at home.

But his space, like an unwelcome relative, was being circumscribed. You can paint the Ramayana, but not represent our Goddesses in the nude. His marvelous collaboration the Ahmedabad gufa with architect BV Doshi was vandalized. As was his exhibition of Bharatmata: His artist's license to give offence, suspended. 

The man with a large appetite for food, women, art, life, laughter was dwarfed by his troubles. None of Mumbai's beautiful people, many of whom he counted as friends and who had benefited from his largesse (stories of him casually gifting away paintings are legion), stood up for him, except occasionally on ineffectual TV platforms.

They preferred to travel abroad and come back to raise their equity with stories of going for a spin with Husain in his Ferrari.

Husain was not necessarily our finest artist, but he embodied the best of India. The charm, the chutzpah, the syncretic energy, his philosophy as a karmyogi.

In interviews from exile he spoke of himself as a citizen of the world, neither making any formal petition to be allowed to come back, nor creating any great art.

In his death wish we should note his register of protest.

Why was then the UBS granted a Banking License to operate in India in 2008?

Ironically enough, That was the first time since 2002-03 that RBI has issued a new licence to a FOREIGN BANK

In June 2003, Interpol found that Quattrocchi ( BOFORS accused) and Maria had two accounts, bearing numbers 5A5151516L and 5A5151516M in the London branch of the Swiss bank BSI AG with Euros three million and $1 million.They were frozen on CBI’s request.

British courts later repeatedly turned down Quattrocchi’s several appeals to de-freeze the accounts.

But, on December 22, 2005, the Congress led UPA government U-turned. H R Bharadwaj (Now Infamous Karnatka Governor), the law minister, got the additional solicitor general of India, B Dutta, to go to London to do the dirty job of releasing the amounts.

Then in 2009, UPA government had shamelessly let Quattrocchi off the hook by removing his name from global red alert. Because of the red alert he was always in danger of being caught and sent to India.

Why did the BOFORS accused, Quattrocchi got away eventually due to lack of a case is anybody's guess...

Why would the Black Money never come back now is anybody's guess..

A HUMBLE REQUEST DEAR FINANCE MINISTER

With Zero Expectations, I have a small request though Pranab Da, Next time when you are asked about why Black Money can't be brought back to India. Please don’t BULLSHIT us on National T.V with your answers like, " We have international commitments! We can't force a Sovereign Nation to give details..."

Say you DON'T WANT TO.

By the time m writing this 12th Commerce results are out and 10th students might b awaiting there results.The word result can b boon as well as a curse at the same time. But in Gujarat i can tell its a disaster. hahaha...

Jokes apart. I just dont understand that how can a students future b judged just by writing or rather givin answers to few questions in 3 hours. This is a general question for each youth alive today. Parents always say that "10th ache se clear karlo life ban jaygi." As soon the kid gets motivated for clearing 10th or lets make it simple he or she clears 10th then the hunt starts for whether to take science or commerce.

Again parents say"12th to only 2 saal ka hai phir to koi tnsn hi nai hai." My question is what if the kid interested in Chemistry and Statistics at the same time. or Biology and Business Organization at the same time. ???? Worst. If he doesnt want to study at all then??
Then also parents force to take any one of them. Y?? "kyu ki meri sister ka beta doctor ho gaya or 70000 per month earn kar raha hai" or " tum agar padhoge nai to kuch nai ban paoge to achi nokri kon dege aur achi nokri nai mili to shadi kaise hogi??" this and many alike are the statements which every student hears.

Cant a person earn his living by doing what he likes and not by force of someone. God has given a specialty to each and every person . Some has that in the form of reading, some has Dancing skills, some can sing very well, some can cook very well. don't they earn their living they do and their families are also happy. Parents don't want to change their mentality that if their kid wont study then they have to face the society. Y don't they understand that they earn for their kids and not for the society. Society doesn't earn and cook food at their place but still parents are parents after all.

Recently even movies are giving such examples. Movies like 3Idiots and Faltu. have given a lot many students to follow their heart.And they are successful. I think there should b a college like the one was in Faltu at least the kids will b tempted to follow their heart and that to legally.
Otherwise in conservative environment its not possible.

All the Best to those awaiting 10th results. Please friends dont depressed life doesn't end here... In fact its a start.... THE BEGINNING!!
